With taught face and distant smile Half thought chuckles of nothing beguile
I am me. Whoever that may be.. Let me stop and think a while..
Pondering on such notions of deeper meaning I am not me, but a mishapen visage of the self I once hoped to see.
The sting of happiness mocks and tugs at my sleeve a playful child unchilled by my witness of the world's cruel touch.
But what is my witness. Blessed as I am too arrogant to acknowledge life's living, except with a nod and leaving shuffle.
